The 1Malaysia Miri Street Party, held on the eve of Malaysia say was a success with more than 2,000 people, including foreign visitors, joining in the celebration.

| Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh who opened the party, hoped that Malaysians would strengthen their unity to make their country stronger. The letter TEAM - T: together, E- Everyone, A-Achieve, M-More is the message we would like the people to understand. The peace of the country means peace in the home. |
Mirians should also inculcate three main principles - identity, spirit and participation. to achieve the peace of the country and they should be proud of it.
